BRANCH WOOD RING HOLDERS
My Branch Wood Ring Holders will keep your rings handy when they are not being worn, but they are more than a simple resting place for your rings. Every ring holder I make comes from the branch of a hardwood tree that grew in the Northwestern U.S. Because my Branch Wood Ring Holders are hand carved and not lathe turned, they are always asymmetrical. Instead of imposing symmetry upon the ring holder, I follow the curves of the branch and its woodgrain, letting them determine the eventual shape of the finished sculpture. I leave the most distinctive parts of the branch - bits of bark, worm holes, knots, and scars - largely as they appeared in the original branch. The rest of the ring holder is carefully smoothed and polished in contrast to the rough areas that are left nearly in their original state. When a Branch Ring Holder receives its final polish I initial it with a guarantee that that it is an original piece of functional wood sculpture, definitely one of a kind.
Choose a Branch Wood Ring Holder from one of those pictured below, or order one from the drop down menu and I will carve it for you from one of distinctive hardwood branches in my collection. When it is finished I will email a link to some photos of your Branch Wood Ring Holder for your approval before it is mailed to you.
